Abstract:
This study aimed to assess the impact of the work environment and workload on employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as a mediator. The population consisted of employees at PT. Telkom Banda Aceh, totaling 165 individuals, with the sample encompassing the entire population through a census approach. The data analysis was conducted using SEM-AMOS. The findings indicate that the environment has a significant positive effect on satisfaction, while workload adversely affects satisfaction significantly. Additionally, the environment positively influences employee performance, whereas workload negatively impacts employee performance. Satisfaction is shown to positively influence employee performance. However, it does not significantly mediate the environment effect on employee performance. In contrast, satisfaction does partially mediate the impact of workload on employee performance. These results suggest that enhancing employee performance at PT. Telkom Banda Aceh relies on optimizing the work environment, reducing workload, and increasing job satisfaction among employees.
